For the last several years we have been proud to bring you the beautiful Lantern Moon products from needles to bags and baskets. Last month we had our first Lantern Moon Trunk Show where the owner, Bruce, surprised us with samplings of the new Destiny circular needles (they promised these would be coming soon). Did you know that their products are produced by an education and income generation Project and by family owned enterprises which revive the traditional cultural handcrafts of Vietnam ?
We just received an incredible shipment of baskets, bags and silk scarves in new and wonderful fibers and textures. You just have to come in to our store and drool over these "labors of love" before they are gone. We all know that we wait a long time to get these carefully made items and we treasure the stories behind them. The new circular needles are named Destiny because the family that makes them believes that making these needles was their destiny as it allowed them to stay together as a family in Vietnam.
